What you should know about household hazards to pets

Every home contains a variety of everyday items and substances that can be dangerous or even fatal if ingested by dogs and cats. You can protect your pet's health by becoming aware of the most common health hazards found in many pet-owning households. HAZARDS IN THE KITCHEN Foods Many foods that are perfectly safe for humans could be harmful or potentially deadly to dogs and cats. To be safe, keep the following food items out of your pet's menu: coffee grounds grapes/raisins chocolate onions yeast dough tea macadamia nuts alcohol fatty foods salt avocado garlic chewing gum, candy and breath fresheners containing xylitol Always keep garbage out of a pet's reach, as rotting food contains molds or bacteria that could produce food poisoning.

Reservations

Reservations are requested and a TWO DAY deposit is required to hold the reservation. Deposits will be refunded if the reservation is canceled at least TEN days before the scheduled visit. If  inadequate cancellation notice is given or you are a "no show", your deposit will be forfeited. 

Please only make reservations for the days that you need. You will be charged for each day of your reservation during the peak season period.

Training

Our Training School is fulfilling for both pet and owner. We offer obedience training for the pet owner and professionals alike. Our skilled trainers will instruct you and your pet from Kindergarten through Advance training.

Our RESIDENCY PROGRAM is designed for the dogs whose owners do not have the time, patience, or the physical ability to train the dog on a daily basis. In the program your dog will take up residence at our training facility where he is cared for by our professional staff. Your dog will learn six (6) basic commands and hand signals." Heel, Sit, Stay, Down Stay, Sit Stay, and Come". At the end of the week to ten days you will be asked to attend two (2) one hour training sessions with your pet in our training center. Our records indicate that 98% of all dogs can be trained for basic obedience. We recommend training starting at 3 1/2 months of age or older. "Old dogs can learn new tricks"!

After finishing basic obedience, you can follow up with Extended Obedience "Off Leash". We offer home and personal protection. We also deal with Aggressive Behavior Modification.

Nail trims are an important part of your dog's basic grooming needs. For many dog owners, the idea of trimming their dogs' nails is followed by a feeling of trepidation. Many dogs also dislike nail trims. It doesn't have to be this way. Any dog owner can learn how to properly trim dog nails, and most dogs can be trained to tolerate it.
